Iran’s ‘Children of Heaven’ named best film at UK festival

Iran’s ‘Children of Heaven’ has been named Best Short Film at the 2019 edition of the Eurasian Creative Guild Film Festival (ECG) in the UK.

According to Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘Children of Heaven’ won the award at the first edition of the event.

Directed by Amir-Masoud Soheili, ‘Children of Heaven’ narrates the story of two children who are fond of cinema. The film was shot in Indonesia.

The short film has attended scores of Iranian and international film festivals and grabbed various awards.

The 1st edition of the ECG was held in London on June 6-10, 2019.

The ECG aims to promote Eurasian cinema in the English-speaking space and to acquaint Eurasian representatives of the film industry with professionals from all over the world.
